The Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills is the first compulsory qualification on CPCAB’s progression route to becoming a counsellor. It aims to provide a comprehensive introduction to counselling as a vocation through the learning and development of counselling skills, basic counselling theory and ethical issues involved within this field of work.

No formal entry requirements however learners must have the ability to produce weekly written reflective journals (word processed work) and take part in practical skills assessment activities and an end of year written test.
