Purchase of steel toe capped boots, overalls and a course text book is required for this course. Please discuss this at interview stage with a tutor after you have applied.
During the course you will study the practical and theoretical aspects of inspection and testing new electrical installations, as required by IET guidance note 3
All applicants should be qualified electricians and poses a level 3 electrical installation qualification and 17th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations qualification.
What will I study?
You will study current inspection and testing techniques for new electrical installations.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through a series of practical in-course assessments and an end of unit on-line examination.
Career Opportunities and Progression
This qualification is highly recommended for registration with the one of the national organisations overseeing the work of electrical installation contractors. This is a qualification that all approved electricians are expected to obtain.
