University of South Wales  

Coleg y Cymoedd works in partnership with the University of South Wales. This collaboration provides opportunities for learners to study a range of higher education qualifications at our campuses.

It’s the ideal option for those who wish to study locally, whether you’re continuing your learning or returning to education. You can enjoy all the benefits of studying at a Coleg y Cymoedd campus, as well as having access to University resources online, the Students’ Union and the unique Grad Edge Award, which helps develop your employability skills. Your final qualification will be awarded by the University of South Wales and you’ll have the chance to celebrate your achievement at a graduation ceremony.

We offer a range of higher education courses, including Foundation Degrees, teaching qualifications and BA (Hons) top-up options for selected courses. Plus there are opportunities to progress to a University of South Wales campus to gain an Honours degree in your chosen subject.

The University of South Wales is one of the largest universities in the UK and is the largest in Wales, offering learners excellent opportunities and prospects. Employability is at the heart of the University, and their courses have a mix of academic learning and practical work experience to give graduates the best chance of success.

Cardiff Met

Coleg y Cymoedd works in partnership with Cardiff Metropolitan University and offers courses in Health & Social Care and Building Technology & Management.

The partnership is longstanding and collaborative programmes have been running successfully for over ten years. The university has been integral to the City of Cardiff since 1865 and prides itself on being a strong, sustainable and student-centred university, focused on the economic, social and cultural wellbeing of Cardiff and South East Wales; promoting student employability, applied research and knowledge transfer.
