The Ystrad Mynach Nursery

The nursery opened in February 1995 providing childcare for staff and students at the college, giving them peace of mind that their child/children are being cared for in an environment that is safe, secure, and stimulating.

Registered with the Care Inspectorate Wales to provide care for 47 children between the ages of 10 months and 5 years of age. As a college nursery, we open from 9.00 to 4.30pm Monday to Friday, during term time.

We are an English-speaking nursery who promotes the Welsh language through daily greetings, simple songs and rhymes and signage throughout the nursery.

We cater for many children from all backgrounds, working in partnership with staff and parents and other childcare professionals with the child’s best interest at heart.

We can care for children with a variety of additional needs, again working in partnership with other agencies and professionals where needed.
