Level 4 Therapeutic Counselling

The course will suit trainees seeking an advanced counselling practitioner training course, as well as those who see it as a further stage in the progression route to the CPCAB Level 5 Diploma.


Develop knowledge, skills and competencies designed to lead an individual into an employed or volunteer role within a counselling agency. Learners with sufficient experience can also begin working as independent practitioners in private practice.

Entry Requirements

Interview and you must have already completed:-


• Certificate in Counselling Skills, (CPCAB award CSK2) and • Certificate in Counselling Studies (CPCAB award CSTL3) • or an equivalent 180 hours counselling training

Practical and theory assessment

Career Progression

Counselling practice within an agency setting or further training.
