There are no formal prerequisite qualifications that you must have prior to undertaking this qualification although you may be asked to complete a practical skills task.
We are looking for learners with a passion for the Beauty industry. You will be invited to participate in pre-course guidance activities which will include a course presentation. Relevant uniform and equipment is needed for this course; a full list will be provided.
Your assessor will observe your performance of practical tasks. The minimum number of observations required is indicated in the evidence requirements section of this unit. Criteria may not always naturally occur during a practical observation. In such instances you will be asked questions to demonstrate your competence in this area. Your assessor will document the criteria that have been achieved through oral and written questioning. Externally assessed question papers completed electronically will be set and marked by VTCT.
On completion of this qualification you may choose to undertake further study; qualifications you could progress to include: VTCT Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy General VTCT Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Nail Services VTCT L3 Award in Nail Enhancements using Liquid and Powder
