The course encompasses many facets of music with particular emphasis on: Live Music Performance & Rehearsal skills; Music Sequencing and Production; Live Sound Recording, Organising Music Events; Digital Recording and Production; Remixing; and Live Sound Reinforcement.

You will also receive tuition in the more traditional aspects of music practice, including: music performance techniques and rehearsal skills to improve your general musicianship.
You will require 4 GCSEs at grades A*- D preferably including Maths/Numeracy or English/Welsh or a level 1 sector skills course qualification.
You will be invited to attend an audition / interview. You will also be required to undertake an initial assessment in literacy and numeracy to establish any support required.
You will continuously be assessed throughout the course via practical and written assignments. All units are internally assessed and externally moderated. On successful completion of this qualification an overall grade is given of Pass, Merit or Distinction.
On successful completion of this course you may be able to progress onto the Rock School Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma For Music Practitioners.
