Learners will study for a Level 3 RSL qualification in Performing Arts, these units are designed to provide a vocational pathway for actors, dancers, and musical Theatre Performers, allowing learners to put their talent at the forefront.
The course is made up of a selection of units, such as: Performance Preparation, Acting for the Camera, Jazz Dance for Musical Theatre, Theatre Genres, Rhythm & Tap, Acting through Song, Planning for a Career, Choreography, Vocal Techniques, Audition Techniques in both Acting & Dance. These run alongside your practical skills lessons in Jazz, contemporary, ballet, tap dance, acting and singing lessons.
5 GCSEs at grade C or above (including Maths and English or Welsh first Language), or equivalent level 2 qualifications
There is an audition as part of the interview process for this course.
There is continuous assessment throughout the course for practical and written assignments. All units are internally assessed and externally moderated. On successful completion of this qualification an overall grade is given of Pass, Merit or Distinction.
After successful completion of this course you could progress onto the RSL Extended Level 3 in Performing Arts.
There is an audition as part of the interview process for this course.
