You will study a variety of units, including:
• Employment in the Uniformed Public Services
• Public Service Skills
• Improving Health and Fitness for Entry to the Public Services
• Essential Skills: Communication, Application of Number, and ICT
4 GCSEs at grade D or above (including Maths and English or Welsh first Language), or equivalent level 1 qualifications
To achieve the Level 2 Diploma in Public Services, you must complete a range of written and practical assessments, including:
• Practical Skills
• Oral Questioning
• Assignment Work
• Written Questions
You will receive continuous feedback on your progress. Be prepared to participate in regular physical fitness and outdoor activities as part of your assessments. Additionally, you will need to complete externally marked exams.
Upon successful completion of this course with a distinction grade, you may progress to the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Uniformed Public Services.
• Kit and Education Trips: Purchase of kit and/or participation in educational trips is required. Discuss this with a tutor during your interview to develop a tailored package based on your chosen course.
