These opportunities arise from the course’s expanding industry partnerships and the proven success of its graduates. “I have worked since I left University, I went on to Pobl Y Cwn, then keeping Faith and now I’m on Dr Who. I have done dailies on other bits too... I worked throughout Covid too; I haven’t really stopped”. Indi Jones “The course has prepared me by providing me with advanced skills I otherwise would not have known, such as special effects, prosthetics and knotting etc. It has also shown me the importance of continuity whilst filming and understanding the roles and responsibilities of other departments within a production team. I have recently worked and been credited as Make-up artist on Kevin Allen’s new feature film 'La Cha Cha', and I’ve been put forward for an interview at the BBC for a Junior make-up assistant role”. Abbie Lewis “The course has prepared me in every aspect for industry; it also taught me new covid rules to ensure I know what is expected of me when leaving and working in the industry. I feel like the simulation assignments along with the practical side of the course prepare you for working in industry”. Rachel Mills “The course helped me get where I want to be… As much as I wanted to get into the industry after my second year, I feel like I wasn’t ready to work in the industry. In the third year we looked more at script breakdowns, and I understood and improved a lot more in the third year”. Jade Cronick “The course gave me opportunities and experience that are required for the TV and Film industry, for example work experience and learning on the job assisted in building up experience that employers look for”. Emily Griffiths
