You will learn to think creatively about the world around you and sample a range of disciplines that will include Art, Media, Design, Music and various Craft skills. Following on from the creative process, you will have workshop time that will motivate you to develop new skills.
3 GCSEs at grades A*- E including English/Welsh and Maths/Numeracy, or an Entry-level vocational qualification at merit grade or above in a creative related subject including literacy and numeracy at E3.
You will also be required to undertake an initial assessment in literacy and numeracy during the first few weeks to establish any support required.
You will be assessed at the end of each unit throughout the course and there are no formal examinations.
On successful completion and a personal tutor reference, this creative qualification will enable you to specialise in a Level 2 course of your choice within creative industries, or you will be able to transfer your personal and employability skills to the workplace. This course could form the foundation for many other vocational courses. It is possible to continue to progress through to Level 3 and degree level with successful completion at each stage.
