Within the level 2 curriculum you will learn processing book keeping transactions, control accounts, journals and the banking system, work effectively in accounting and finance, basic costing and computerised accounts.
Within the level 3 curriculum you will learn complex Finance Officer processes, including final accounts for sole traders and partnerships, reports and returns, Indirect tax, professional ethics and spread sheet software. This level is approximately equivalent to an A Level or higher and has the benefit of UCAS points.
4 GCSEs grade A* - D including English/Welsh and Maths/Numeracy or a Level 1 in IT Applications for Business or a related vocational qualification.
You will be invited to attend an interview, and will undertake an assessment in literacy and numeracy, to establish any support required.
All learning areas of this qualification are assessed using AAT designed Computer Based Assessments (CBA’s) which can be in the form of a test (CBT) or a project (CBP).
On successful completion of the course you will be awarded a Level 2 Diploma in Accounting and Business which will allow you to progress onto the Level 3 Diploma in Accounting.
