You will learn through theory and practical sessions to deal effectively with the health, safety and security of air passengers, abnormal, dangerous/emergency situations and passengers' needs.
You will also visit British Airways training ground at Heathrow and take part in practical sessions such as aircraft evacuation, fire training and survival. Survival sessions on water will also take place in a local swimming pool. The course also covers interviewing skills which are essential to your progression into the travel industry
You will require 4 GCSEs at grades A*- D including Maths/Numeracy and English/Welsh, or completion of a full vocational programme at Level 1 which must also include GCSE Maths/Numeracy & English/Welsh at grades A*-D or equivalent such as Level 1 ESW Communications and Application of Number.
You will be invited to attend an interview, and will undertake an assessment in literacy and numeracy, to establish any support required.
To gain the Level 2 Diploma in Air Cabin Crew you must complete a range of written and practical assessments. Assessment will cover practical skills, oral questioning, assignment work and written questions. You will receive feedback on your progress throughout the course.
On successful completion of this course, you will be able to apply for jobs within the travel industry. Many past learners have progressed into airlines and airports.
