The course allows the learners build the knowledge, understanding and skills they need for career progression or further study.
For the BTEC Award in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, the learner will study: • Health and Safety in the Engineering Workplace • Communications for Engineering Technicians • Mathematics for Engineering Technicians • Mechanical Principles of Engineering Systems • Computer-aided Design in Engineering • Industrial Robot Technology
5 GCSEs at grade C or above (including Maths, Science and English or Welsh first language) or a Level 2 qualification with the appropriate selection of units.
All units are internally assessed via assignments, they are graded by lecturing staff and an overall grade is awarded at the end of your study.
On successful completion of this course previous learners have progressed into careers in many engineering disciplines. Many learners progress onto the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Mechanical/Manufacturing).
