It’s been 10 years since Coleg y Cymoedd was founded and now, our four Rhondda Cynon Taf and Caerphilly-based campuses are home to over 400 FE and HE courses, 10,000 learners and 800 staff whose hard work and dedication make us the leading vocational and academic institution that we are today.

Treorchy-born Scott Jones joined Coleg y Cymoedd’s Music Technology course in 2012 as a mature learner. After achieving a triple distinction star, just over ten years later, he’s now the course leader for levels 2 to 4

Richard Gater came to us as a mature learner with no GCSEs. After thriving on one of our Access to Higher Education courses, he is now a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Wales Institute of SERD
