This course offers a route into Higher Education in a Nursing profession. The objective of the course is to provide a supportive & friendly environment to enable you to develop your potential and to prepare you for university study.

What Will I Learn?
You will study Biology, Chemistry, Sociology, Psychology and Reflective Practice as your main subjects, with supporting units in Mathematics, IT and Study Skills. Units in Biological Science and Health will also be available.
The development of Essential Skills is vital to your development and progression to the world of work. Great emphasis is placed on the development of Study Skills and will include essay writing, assignment writing, referencing using the Harvard system and presentation of work using IT.
No formal qualifications are required however you will be invited to undertake a literacy and numeracy assessment prior to interview to determine your suitability for the course. As the course requires a high level of dedication and academic rigour, you may be directed to a more appropriate programme of study.
You will be assessed by your tutors throughout your course as units are completed. Assessment will cover practical skills, oral questioning, assignment work and written questions. You will be required to sit short examinations throughout the course.
