What Will I Learn?
You will study the Welsh Baccalaureate where you will explore a wide range of areas including Wales, Europe and the World; Work-related Education and Personal and Social Education. As part of the Welsh Baccalaureate you will develop your Essential Skills.
You will study areas including: customer care, health and safety, hardware maintenance (including predictive, preventative and remedial maintenance, upgrades and fault finding), software installation and maintenance and networking. The course also teaches you wider, transferable skills that are needed for the successful completion of the Level 2 assessments..
You will require 4 GCSEs grades A*- D including Maths/Numeracy and English/Welsh or a Level 1 in Computing or a related vocational qualification with suitable experience.
You will be invited to attend an interview and will undertake an assessment in literacy and numeracy to establish any support required.
The Welsh Baccalaureate and Essential Skills assessments are via portfolio evidence and a higher project. For the Level 2 System Support qualification, you will undertake an assessment at the end of each unit. These assessments are either in class simulations or on-line multiple choice questions.

- On successful completion of this course you will be prepared for employment in an IT support or servicing role. Alternatively you would be able to apply for a place on the Level 3 in IT System Support or Level 3 Nationals in IT.
