A one year course designed for learners who wish to develop new or existing skills required by today's businesses, IT and media sectors. This course is suitable for learners who are interested in developing new or existing skills which are needed for employment in a range of IT, business and administrative/media careers; providing the opportunity for you to develop skills and manage a range of IT software packages. You will study units such as: designing a product, branding a product, creating a simple website, using IT to develop information and managing an event.
All learning is undertaken within our modern and well-equipped classrooms and will take place within a supportive and friendly environment.
What Will I Learn?
Pearson BTEC Level 1 Introductory Diploma in Vocational Studies
3 GCSEs at grades A*- E including English and Maths or successful completion of an Entry 3 Foundation qualification. You will be invited to attend an interview and will undertake an assessment in literacy, numeracy and oral communication skills which will also establish any individual support required.
As part of Pearson BTEC Level 1 Introductory Diploma in Vocational Studiess you will be assessed by completing set assignments. You will be expected to work to deadlines and maintain your course files/portfolios to the required standards. These are internally assessed by your tutor, internally moderated and externally moderated by an examiner from Pearsons.
