This course is an excellent introduction to technician level Engineering and includes the fundamental knowledge and skills required to progress on to further study in Engineering. The units delivered have an electrical bias and the programme complements learners already working in the electrical Engineering sector
What Will I Learn?
The combination of units for this qualification is: Principles and Applications of Electrical Devices and Circuits, Mathematics, Health & Safety, Electronic measurement and testing, Communications for Technicians, and Electrical & Electronic Principles
You must show evidence that you have achieved a minimum of five A* - C grade GCSEs that must include the subjects of English, Maths and Science. Alternatively, other appropriate level 2 qualifications will be considered providing the units achieved suitably prepare you for this level 3 programme. The best way to do this is to provide the course tutor with a copy of your certificate showing the units accredited.
Assessment is via a mixture of practical assignments, written assignments and in class tests. All units are assessed and graded and an overall grade for the qualification is awarded
