This course is particularly suited to those within the Engineering sector and will be delivered via lectures, tutorials and laboratory work. This course comprises of one day and one evening per year, although this does have some flexibility to allow students and their employers to study at their selected rate.
What Will I Learn?
In Year 1 you will study: Engineering Mathematics; Electrical Technology; Electronics 1 and Introduction to ‘C’ Programming & Embedded Systems. In Year 2 you will study: Mathematics; Power and Machines; Programmable Logic Controllers; Control and Instrumentation and an Industrial Project.
You will normally require a National Certificate/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. Other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis, in particular where learners have a lot of experience in the industry.
Assessment will include written assignments, laboratory experiential learning, an examination and research reports related to industrial workplace.

- On successful completion of this course you could move upwards in your current job, or choose further study. Successfully complete the Foundation Degree and you can progress onto a BSc (hons) in Engineering. On successful completion of this course you will be receive a University of South Wales award.
