The “job ready “Nail Services qualification is based on National Occupational Standards (NOS).
This qualification will provide you with the knowledge, understanding and skills to work competently as a Level 3 practitioner in the Acrylic nail industry. Throughout this qualification you will monitor procedures to safely control work operations, and enhance and maintain nails using liquid and powder.
What Will I Learn?
You will study: Health & Safety within a Salon; Consulting with the Client to Establish their Requirements; Recognising any Contra-indications that may Affect the Service; Preparing the Natural Nail; Tip Application; Enhance the Appearance of the Natural Nail and Maintain & Repair Nails using a Liquid and Powder Nail System;
Prior to starting the course you must have a manicure certification.
Applicants with appropriate experience who do not necessarily meet the academic qualifications may be considered.
You will be assessed via a range of methods which include continual assessment, through observation of your practical work, the completion of a portfolio, theoretical evidence and assignment work. There are External examinations. You will be assessed on your occupational competence.
