This course is primarily aimed at practising electricians with relevant experience and other allied professionals e.g. surveyors, consultants and other trades needing to update and enhance their understanding of IET Wiring Regulations BS 7671.
What Will I Learn?
The course covers complete standards for the electrical industry in respect of the safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems. It provides understanding of:-
• scope, object and fundamental principles of BS7671 • definitions used within BS7671 • how to assess the general characteristics of electrical installation
• requirements of protection for safety for electrical installations • requirements for selection and erection of equipment for electrical installations • the requirements of inspection and testing of electrical installations
• the requirements of special installations or locations as identified BS7671 • the information contained within the appendices of BS7671
There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However, learners should have knowledge of electrical installation and electrical science.
Please note that course books (IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations) are not included in the course fees and need to be purchased in addition.
