This course is a foundation qualification is an introduction to vehicle technology and is aimed at providing progression to those wishing to enter the motor vehicle industry and progress to higher level motor vehicle studies.
What Will I Learn?
This course enables you to build your knowledge of Motor Vehicle Technology using a combination of theory and practical lessons. All learning takes place in our modern, well-equipped workshop on site facilitated by qualified and highly experienced lecturers.
No formal academic qualifications are required.
You will be invited to attend an interview, and will undertake an assessment in literacy and numeracy, to establish any support required
There is a combination of assessment methods including a workshop-based portfolio developed throughout the year and computerised knowledge tests at the end of every unit.

Chartered engineers possess an accredited university degree. After qualifying, periods of appropriate training and experience are required before membership of a chartered engineering institution is attainable. Incorporated engineers possess an accredited university degree, BTEC/SQA award or an apprenticeship leading to an NVQ/SVQ at Level 4. All routes are followed by periods of appropriate training and relevant experience.
