During this course you will study a number of level 3 units which combine leading to a Certificate in Electrical & Electronic Engineering Technology.
In the first year you will study analogue and digital electronics along with two core units, looking at issues of environmental health and safety along with organisational efficiency. In the second year, you will study a number of Level 3 units leading to a full Diploma.
What Will I Learn?
You will study a variety of units of the VRQ Level 3 leading to an Advanced Technical Certificate which includes Digital and Analogue Electronics. You can progress to Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Technology Level 3 which includes Control Engineering, Microprocessors, Radar and Radio Systems along with Electronic Principles.
5 GCSEs at grades A*- C including English, Maths and Science or another appropriate Level 2 qualification.
You will be invited to attend an interview, and will undertake an assessment in literacy and numeracy, to establish any support required.
Your practical competences will be continually assessed and you will sit a multiple-choice examination.

- On successful completion of this course you will have developed fundamental practical skills and a basic understanding of electrical and electronic concepts, therefore employment opportunities could be sought in the field of Instrumentation and Electronic Control, such as petro chemical, gas and water distribution along with Electronic Assembly and Automation.
