Course Information
This programme prepares you for progression to Higher Education to study science. The objective of the course is to provide a supportive and friendly environment to enable you to develop your potential and to prepare you for University-level study, with many past learners going on to gain degrees and other awards.
What Will I Learn?
You will study Chemistry, Biology and Physics and 1 Mathematics unit at Level 3. A range of units is studied for each scientific area with practical sessions to enhance understanding of the theory.
Entry Requirements
You will require GCSE Welsh / English and GCSE Maths/Numeracy grades A*- C or Essential Skills Wales Numeracy and Communication Level 2 completed in the last 2 years or Skills for Further Study diploma completion or a Level 2 vocational qualification.
Assessment
You will be assessed by continual assessment. You will also be expected to maintain your course files and all portfolios to the required standards.
