The Level 3 Diploma in Nail Technology (QCF) is a job ready qualification based on National Occupational Standards (NOS).
The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in Nail Services to a high level of occupational ability, to enable you to perform your own salon services.
What Will I Learn?
This qualification will provide you with the knowledge, understanding and skills to work competently as an advanced practitioner in the nail industry. Throughout this qualification you will monitor and maintain health & safety practices, client care & communication and apply and maintain nail enhancements.
To further enhance your skills you will also study the following units; Airbrush Nail Design, Promote products and services, Enhance nails using electric files and design and apply nail art, Contribute to the effective running of business and Working with colleagues within beauty related industry.
You will also be required to complete: Level 3 Communication, Level 3 Application of Number and Level 3 Working with Others
4 GCSE’s at grades A*-D including English/Welsh and Maths/Numeracy, and a Level 2 beauty sector skills course qualification or NVQ/VRQ Level 2 manicure qualification is required.
Experienced therapists will also be considered.
Assessment will include practical observation, oral questions, written questions and externally set exams. You will need to create a portfolio of evidence.

- This is an approved qualification for working as a senior nail technician. It also provides a sound platform for further learning or training. Progression opportunities exist in the form of specialist VTCT vocationally related qualifications at Levels 3 and 4.
