Course Information
This course is the starting point for those wishing to become qualified as an Installation or Maintenance Electrician in the Domestic, Commercial and Industrial fields. The course covers both theory and practical skills.
What Will I Learn?
The course will cover the aspects of an Electrician’s work at introductory level and include;
• Basic principles of Electro-technology and Installation • Health and Safety • Electrical Installations Technology • Installation of wiring systems and enclosures • Understand how to communicate with others within building services engineering
In addition, you will also complete at level 2; Application of Numbers, Communications, ICT and a Higher Project.
Entry Requirements
You will require a Level 1 qualification in Electrical installations. Applicants must also pass an entry test.
You will be invited to attend an interview, and will undertake an assessment in literacy and numeracy, to establish any support required.
Assessment
You will be assessed through practical assessments, demonstrating your ability to do the job and assignments and external examinations.
