You will study a number areas within the music industry with the intention of building your knowledge of the music marketplace and how to develop your own brand.
You will learn about brand development as well as refining your performance and production skills This process will culminate with a final project where you will present your branded product (Album, EP, beat tape etc.) before evaluating and reflecting upon your experience.
Learners taking this qualification are expected to be 18+ and are required to have completed a 3 A Level programme, or an equivalent Level 3 Extended Diploma vocational qualification
In addition, there will be an interview and audition process upon application.
You will be assessed via a combination of written plans, reports and evaluations that measure your theoretical understanding of concepts, specialist subject content and your ability to self-reflect, in addition to competency-based practical assessments which culminate in the completion of a final major project.
This course will enable you to progress on to higher level courses at University, improve your chances of obtaining regional funding opportunities and increase the likelihood of a successful freelance career as an artist, songwriter, producer, composer or other creative practitioner in the future.
