This qualification offers you the opportunity to develop a career in maintaining and managing ICT resources. You will The course is for people who are interested or wish to pursue a career to become an IT Technician. The Enhanced IT Practitioners course gives you a chance to study full time 5 days a week. You will study a range of subjects from 2 qualifications: Level 3 Diploma System Support Level 3 Diploma in Systems and Principles for IT Professionals.
You will also take part in 25 days work placement. All full-time learners will be expected to attend skills sessions as well as their chosen vocational course. You will also be asked to attend tutorial sessions as part of your full-time course timetable.
What Will I Learn?
During the year course you will learn the following: Customer Service, Web Development, System Architecture, Networking, Cyber Security, Fundamentals of Linux, Fault Diagnosis and System Maintenance
You will use the following industry standard software which is Microsoft Office 365, Linux Operating System, Dream Weaver, Microsoft Server 2016.
You will require 5 GCSEs at grades A*- C including Maths/Numeracy, English Language/Welsh (First Language) or a Level 2 qualification with the appropriate selection of units.
Assessments are timed- controlled assessments and 2 portfolios.

You will also receive £200 worth of tools in a tool kit on completion of the course.
