Online World, Technology Systems, Digital Portfolio, Creating Digital Graphics, Database Development, Software Development, Installing and Maintaining Computer Hardware and Multimedia Products Development.

You will require 4 GCSEs at grades A*- D (including Maths/Numeracy and English/Welsh first language) or a Level 1 in Computing/IT with GCSE English/Welsh and Maths/Numeracy at Grade D or above. A related vocational area qualification with suitable experience would be considered.

You will be invited to attend an interview and will undertake an assessment in literacy and numeracy to establish any support required. At Coleg y Cymoedd we would encourage you to do the very best that you can in your assessments. The better your grades the more options you will have and may result in you gaining entry onto a higher-level course.

Consisting of two external tests - Online World and Technology Systems as well as a range of internally set assessments using a variety of methods both written and verbal. Throughout the year you will create a Digital Portfolio to showcase the work and skills developed throughout the course.

Our previous learners have progressed onto the L3 course in Computing, Creative Media, Engineering and Business. This course also prepares learners to enter the workplace in due course.
