The course is made up of a variety of units of work that cover different elements of the media industry
Over the 2 years you will have assignments that cover areas of industry such as Print Graphics and E-publishing, TV and Film, Radio and Sound, Games design and Animation. In the latter part of your second year, you will work towards creating a Final Major Project where you will encompass your taught skills over the time spent on the course to create your own media project.
5 GCSE’s A* - C including English/Welsh and Maths/Numeracy or a BTEC Level 2 Diploma at Merit grade in a creative related subject.
There are continuous assessments of work throughout the course. These are completed via the means of practical assignments and written units of work. All units of work are internally assessed. On completion of the course final grades of Pass, Merit or Distinction are converted into UCAS points ready for application to Higher Education.
On successful completion of this course you could further your studies with a Foundation Degree or BA Hons Degree course. Career opportunities can come in the forms of freelance work within creative industry environments. r.
