You will study 4 units to complete this diploma: Provide aromatherapy for complementary therapies, Principles and practice of complementary therapies, Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology for complementary therapies, Business practice for complementary therapies.
This qualification is designed for learners aged 16 years or over.
You will require GCSEs at grades A*- C or Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology or equivalent related Level 2/3 qualifications.
Applicants with appropriate experience who do not necessarily meet the academic qualifications may be considered. A mature approach to study with a high level of motivation is essential.
You will also be required to undertake an initial assessment in literacy and numeracy to establish any support required.
You will be assessed via a range of methods which include continual observed assessment of your practical work, completion of 60 case study treatments, theoretical evidence/assignment work and externally set question papers for the completion of a portfolio.
On successful completion of this programme you will be able to progress into Employment / Self-Employment: in beauty or complementary therapy establishments; health spas, clinics hotels.
PLEASE NOTE - Learners will be required to attend for two evenings a week.
