Ffion Lanchbury – Chartered Architect

Ffion is a Chartered Architect and Senior Associate at Rio Architects with considerable experience of working with large, complex groups of stakeholders.

Ffion fully qualified as an architect with distinction in September 2013 having studied at the University of the West of England, Bristol and Oxford Brookes University.

Ffion joined Rio Architects following a period working within the Development team of a Registered Social Landlord in Swansea where she was tasked with the analysis of land and development opportunities from a design perspective, providing advice on a range of residential projects.

Since joining Rio Architects in 2014, Ffion has worked on residential, commercial and arts developments and has recently undertaking the role of Project Architect on a 27-storey student accommodation and mixed use development in Cardiff. Ffion works on projects through all development stages from project inception through to completion on site. Ffion was promoted to a management position shortly after joining Rio Architects. As a Chartered Architect, Ffion is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and is currently Secretary of the Faculty of the Built Environment (FBE) Cambria Committee.

Ffion is a Welsh speaker and enjoys singing with a local choir. Through singing, she has been fortunate enough perform all over the world including in Abu Dhabi, Ottawa, Toronto and New York.
