I am 21 years old, I have previously attended school in Swansea before moving to Aberdare in 2016 and continuing my studies in St Johns before attending Coleg y Cymoedd.

What made you decide to study at Coleg y Cymoedd?
I decided to study at Coleg Y Cymoedd because I found that A levels weren’t for me so chose to take a different path which would get me into university.
Why did you choose to study this course?
I chose to study health and social care because I knew that if I passed then I would have a chance at getting onto the university course that I wanted to get on.
What are the benefits of studying at Coleg y Cymoedd?
One of the benefits that I have found through studying at Coleg Y Cymoedd would be the support from the tutors. I have found that if you work hard and try your best then they will go the extra mile in helping and supporting you to achieve the grades that you are aiming for.
What do you intend to do next?
I will be attending University to study midwifery.
How is the course helping you achieve your ambitions?
This course has helped me to achieve my ambitions because it has provided me with an alternative route of getting into university. It has also given me a great amount of teaching in a wide variety of subjects that I will be able to apply in my midwifery practice in the future.
How will studying impact on your life?
Studying will impact my life in a very positive manner. It has helped to stretch me and realise that I can do things if I put my mind to it. It will also help me to reach my end goal of becoming a midwife.
