1-1 and group business advice & guidance

Meet with our Enterprise Champion (EC) who can help you either individually or as a group with any business queries. There is such a variety of support available for start-ups and those who are already up and running, our EC will signpost you to the right form(s) of support, depending on what you require, even if you just want to know what’s available or have a side hustle to earn while you learn!

Class information talks

Whether it’s an overview or something specific to running a business, we have the expertise and the contacts to deliver the exact requirements.

Bespoke workshops

At Coleg y Cymoedd, you have the opportunity to participate in enterprise initiatives such as boot camps, a variety of challenges and various other activities that can cover everything from business planning and cashflow, to marketing, insurance and legalities to ensure you are fully informed of what’s required when becoming your own boss or forming a partnership.

Access to funding and additional training

Our EC will have an overview of the variety of additional opportunities you can gain access to and can refer you to the right people for what you need

Events and conferences

You’ll have the opportunity to participate and attend events that take place across our campuses and externally, such as Enterprise Pop-ups, our annual FutureFest and many more, including conferences.

Whether you want a side-hustle to earn while you learn, become self-employed, freelance or explore consultancy, there’s a range of business start-up options available which enhance your skills, hobbies and interests to make your business dreams a reality.

We work alongside Big Ideas Wales for expert Role Model advice, as well as Business Wales for tailored support from an allocated business advisor

Tafflab

Learners at Coleg y Cymoedd have the opportunity to apply and participate in the annual Tafflab programme. Successful applicants receiving both mentorship and funding over the year to take their business ventures to the next level
