Induction – Your first few days at Coleg y Cymoedd (2023/2024)

Whether Sept 2023 is your first year at Coleg y Cymoedd or you have been with us previously, the information on this page will give you a snapshot of all the important info you need to start college.

We start the college year with our induction week. Induction is all about helping both new and returning learners getting ready for college life. During this time, you should get to know where everything (well most things anyway! 🙂 ) is located on campus, meet college staff, meet fellow learners and much more!

What will induction include

Meet your course tutors

Have chance to meet other learners in your class and elsewhere around the college

Take part in activities such as team building and problem solving

Expectations of you as a learner together with how we as a college will help you

Freshers’ Fair – a huge showcase event on the campus you are studying at

What to bring/do beforehand

Pen/Paper and money for lunch/snacks

Where to go first day

Don’t worry…..we don’t expect you to know exactly where you should be going on your first day.

To keep it really simple……just head towards the main reception area of the campus you are studying at. Our friendly Campus and Learner Services team will be on hand to direct you to where you need to go…..simples!
