Overview

This course is designed for IT professionals who plan, deploy, configure, and manage Microsoft Teams to support effective collaboration and communication in a Microsoft 365 environment. Learners will gain the skills needed to manage Teams settings, policies, meetings, calling, apps, and devices. The course also covers network planning, security and compliance, and integration with other Microsoft 365 services.

What will I learn?

After completing this course, you will be able to configure and manage a Teams environment, manage teams, channels, chats, and apps, manage meetings and calling features, monitor and troubleshoot Teams performance, and implement governance, security, and compliance settings for Teams. You will also learn how to manage Teams devices and configure external collaboration settings.

Entry requirements

There are no formal prerequisites, but learners should have a working knowledge of Microsoft 365 services and how Teams integrates with them. Familiarity with identity, licensing, networking, and security concepts is recommended. Experience with PowerShell and Microsoft Teams administration tools is beneficial.

Assessment

The exam code is MS-700. It is a 100-minute closed book exam with a pass mark of 700 out of 1000. The exam is proctored and may include interactive components.

Career progression

This certification qualifies professionals for roles such as Microsoft Teams Administrator, Collaboration Systems Engineer, or Unified Communications Specialist. With further experience and certifications, individuals can progress to senior roles like Teams Architect, Modern Workplace Consultant, or Head of Collaboration Technologies.
