You will study units in sociology, psychology, human anatomy, health studies, numeracy and communications. All subject areas and communications are studied at level 3; numeracy is studied at Level 2. The course is made up of 60 credits and achievement of all credits is required to achieve the Access diploma.
You will require GCSE Welsh or English language and GCSE maths or numeracy grades A*-C or successful completion of the entry assessment. An entry assessment will be required If qualifications are older than 3 years or you have no previous qualifications.
You will be assessed by continual assessment, essays, projects, workbooks, discussions, and oral presentations with some end-of-unit tests. You will also be expected to maintain your course files and all portfolios to the required standards.
After successfully completing this course, you will be able to apply for honours degree courses in Higher Education in a wide range of health-related courses at a university or higher education institution of your choice.
