The course is for people who are interested or wish to pursue a career to become an IT Technician. The Enhanced IT Practitioners course gives you a chance to study full time 5 days a week. You will study a range of subjects from 2 qualifications: Level 3 Diploma System Support and Level 3 Diploma in Systems and Principles for IT Professionals. You will also take part in 25 days work placement.
Foundation Degree ICT is a Level 4/5 University of South Wales franchise course. The course is a University of South Wales qualification studied at the college. You graduate with your cap and gown at the university and are awarded your foundation degree from USW. Mode of study: 3 Days a week year 1 1 Day a week year 2 (Work Placement for other days) Many placements have led directly to full time employment.
Classes are relaxed and informal as you are adults studying a university course. As you will technically be a USW student you follow University term dates. Meaning you start late September and finish in May. Classrooms are well equipped modern computing suites. You have access to the latest versions of industry standard software (e.g., Adobe photoshop, animate, dream weaver and the full suite of Microsoft office 365, Visual Basic and QGIS).
