Access to Higher Education
Access courses are aimed at those with significant life experience outside of education who want to go to University but don’t have the necessary qualifications to apply.
Access is a recognised and supportive way to return to learning and study a range of subjects and skills that will equip you for Higher Education. An Access course is a fast and intense learning experience, but one that is enjoyable and rewarding. Access courses at Coleg y Cymoedd are designed to fit into busy family schedules. Access Level 3 courses are designed for learners aged 19+ who are returning to education. These courses fill up extremely quickly, so please apply early. Good communication skills, a responsible attitude and determination to succeed are essential.
You need to be aware that some university entry requirements are GCSE Maths and English (and in some cases GCSE Science) at a minimum at grade C. If you do not meet these requirements please discuss your options at interview stage.
