Health and Social Care
The UK Health Sector employs some two million people across a range of public, independent and voluntary organisations. Social Care is one of the major public service areas.
According to the Department of Health, at any one time, up to 1.5 million of the most vulnerable people in society are relying on social workers and support staff for help. Social Care is a fragmented market, with care providers comprising of local authorities, parts of the NHS, private and voluntary organisations, so there are a number of choices.
Our courses cover today’s topical and most important issues, and are designed to inspire and challenge you, about the principles and approaches to caring across the health and social care sector. All courses draw on the latest research and the experience of practising professionals, to provide you with valuable insight and real-work skills and knowledge.
Childhood Studies
Are you good with Children? Are they relaxed in your company? Do you find it easy to capture their imagination with activities and role play?
A career in Children’s Care can be demanding but the rewards are great. In Wales alone, over 26,000 people work in the Children’s Care sector and there is an increasing need for suitably qualified people to fill the roles. Our courses focus on the importance of hands on skills, supported by a theoretical element, with many of our courses giving you first-hand experience of working in a range of childcare settings.
