What are Engagement Hubs?

The Coleg y Cymoedd Engagement Hubs are a safe space to build your skills, confidence and future.

The Engagement Hubs offer support and resources to help you succeed in your academic and personal life whenever you need it. You can visit as often as you like during your time at college.

You’ll also have some timetabled sessions each week in the Engagement Hubs during your time at college. These sessions are your space for personal study and one-on-one time with your tutor.

Virtual reality learning

All learners can use VR headsets in the hubs for immersive learning.

Real-life simulations in healthcare and public speaking.

Beacon Awards Finalist 2025

Coleg y Cymoedd was recognised by the Beacon Awards for the outstanding level of support the Engagement Hubs offer our learners. The college was a Finalist in the RCU Award for Support for Students because of the facilities on offer in these safe, inclusive spaces.

As well as tailored support and free study spaces, the Hubs regularly host workshops from external partners. In recent workshops Barclays has offered Financial literacy coaching, Women’s Aid Wales has delivered bystander training and Big Ideas Wales has visited to inspire learners towards entrepreneurship.
