Induction – your first few days at Coleg y Cymoedd (2025/2026)

Whether Sept 2025 is your first year at Coleg y Cymoedd or you have been with us previously, this is all the important information you need to start college.

We start the college year with our induction week. Induction is all about helping both new and returning learners get ready for college life.

During induction you will:

Get to know where everything is located on campus.
meet college staff.
meet your fellow learners.
Find out all about the benefits of college life.

What happens at induction?

Meet your course tutors.
Have a chance to meet other learners in your class and elsewhere around the college.
Take part in team-building and problem-solving activities.
Expectations of you as a learner together with how we as a college will help you. Freshers’ Fair – a huge showcase event on the campus you are studying at.

What to bring / do beforehand

Pen and notebook.
Money for lunch and snacks.

Where to go on your first day

Don’t worry, we don’t expect you to know exactly where you should go on your first day.

Just head to the main reception area of the campus you are studying at. Our friendly Campus and Learner Services team will be on hand to direct you to where you need to go.

Where can I find my timetable?

You can access your timetable on the College App. Simply scroll down to your timetable, and you’ll find all the information you need about your schedule.

Your timetable will be available in the app after 5pm on Friday 29 August. Make sure you check it after this time for the most up-to-date information.
