What adult learning courses can I take?

Adult learners can benefit from evening college courses and part-time courses for the right fit around work, family, and life commitments.

Study at your level. Choose from hundreds of courses at our four campuses.

You can also enrol on:

  • GCSEs – retake English and Maths as an adult or sit them for the first time.
  • Level 3 courses – Diploma courses and professional qualifications
  • Higher education and university courses – Foundation degrees, Bachelors and HNC.
  • Apprenticeships Get qualified while you earn.

Flexible adult courses near you

There are no age limits on our courses at Coleg y Cymoedd. Study courses at the right level for you. From GCSEs to career and professional development (CPD). Apprenticeships, short courses, degree qualifications and more.

Our courses are delivered with a blend of online and in person sessions on our four South Wales campuses. You could be learning in the classroom, or taking part in more hands-on training in one of our on-site restaurants, salons, robotics labs or engineering workshops.

More support for adult learners

We’ll support you to reach your ambitions at Coleg y Cymoedd, in the classroom and beyond.

You can access learning support services for extra help with literacy and numeracy and we support learners with disabilities, sensory impairment and additional needs.

Cymoedd Extra offers clubs, societies and activities that fit around your course and you can even enjoy our on-campus restaurants, salons and fitness facilities.

Adult funding for education

You could be eligible for a range of grants, bursaries and funding for your course, including the Welsh Government Learning Grant for Adult Education.

You might also be eligible for free adult learning courses through a Personal Learning Account (PLA).
