Multi-Factor Authentication (or MFA for short) is an additional security layer for securing online accounts. From the 2022/23 academic year, all staff and learners will need to use MFA when logging into college services online.
Please watch the ‘Introduction to MFA’ video below, followed by the ‘Setup Video’ relevant to the device you own. If you encounter any difficulties during the setup process, or have any queries – please check the FAQ section before contacting IT Services.
IT Services will be available in your campus Learning Centre (LC) to support you with MFA on the following dates:
Date | Location |
---|---|
Monday 26/09/22 to Wednesday 28/09/22 | Aberdare Learning Centre |
Wednesday 28/09/22 to Friday 30/09/22 | Rhondda Learning Centre |
Monday 3/10/22 to Friday 7/10/22 | Ystrad Mynach Learning Centre |

We have other methods of MFA that we can use, so contact IT services for advice. If you don’t have a smartphone, IT Services are probably aware, and will be in touch with you via email.
