The GCSE course is designed to improve your Maths in the following areas: number; algebra; shape and space; handling data and applying Mathematics. You will also cover calculator skills and exam techniques.
Entry to Intermediate tier: Grade D. Entry to Higher tier: Grade C or you will be invited in by a member of the GCSE team to sit an assessment
There are two examinations at the end of the academic year; one with a calculator and one without. You will be assessed throughout the year to monitor your progress.
A GCSE in Mathematics at grade C or above is often a requirement for entry into higher education, apprenticeships and employment.
