Tour of The Nursery

We can be found on the Ystrad Mynach Campus. Our Nursery was purpose built in 1994 and officially opened in February 1995.

A reception area leads to the main nursery, which can be accessed by a secure code locked door for security. In this area, children’s belongings are stored, and you can find the main noticeboard for parents and staff certificates.

This leads to the toddler’s play area (children aged between 18 months and 2 and a half years of age). Alongside this room is an area for the toddlers to sleep if they wish.

Set aside from the toddler’s room is the nursery kitchen where freshly prepared nutritious meals and snacks are prepared and served.

The baby room (babies aged between 10 months – 18 months) has an area for play, dining and sleep with double doors leading to a secured section of the nursery garden. A separate nappy changing area is set alongside the baby room. Individual baby routines for feeding and sleep are followed.

The preschool room (for children between the ages of 2 and a half and 5 years of age) is situated at the back of the nursery building and leads to the bathroom and toileting areas for the nursery children.

Garden area – we have a secure garden area with sun canopies, safety flooring and grassed area.
