Ystrad Mynach Nursery

We need your help. We are proposing to close the Ystrad Mynach Nursery at the end of this academic year. This is a very difficult decision, and we know how much the nursery means to our staff, learners, parents, and the community.

The nursery has provided high-quality childcare for 29 years, predominantly for learners and staff, but also for some local families. It has been a valuable service that has supported many people to access education and training opportunities at Coleg y Cymoedd. However, due to a number of factors, including low demand, high costs and changes in funding, we have had to consider the future viability of the nursery.

We want to hear from you before we make a final decision.

We invite you to join us for a consultation session at our Ystrad Mynach campus on Monday 15th March 2024, where you can share your views and ask any questions you may have.

We have scheduled two time slots for the session:

• 9.30am to 10.30am for learners and staff
• 11am to 12.30pm for the local community
