What made you decide to study at Coleg y Cymoedd?
After having a back injury I decided that I could not go back to my current job, I then decided to take the plunge and have a change in career and move into catering.
Why did you choose to study this course?
I enjoy cooking and hosting, so I thought I would do my relevant NVQs in catering. Whilst on the course I realised I would love to go into teaching.

After completing my catering qualifications I then completed my PGCE in Post Compulsory Education and Training. Now I work in Coleg y Cymoedd!

Due to changing my career and studying at the college I now have a better quality of life and my confidence has improved dramatically.

Yes I would highly recommend the college!

I have known Clare since she attended for interview for the Professional Certificate in Education in March 2013. The PCE leads on to a teaching certificate for Post Compulsory Education and Training. This requires part- time study of six hours college attendance per week, plus a considerable degree of commitment outside of college hours. This required time management skills and a great deal of motivation in order to succeed. Clare’s commitment to the course was excellent and she has achieved her ambition of working in an FE environment.
