This qualification will provide you with the knowledge, understanding and skills to work competently as an advanced practitioner in the nail industry. Throughout this qualification you will monitor and maintain health & safety practices and apply and maintain nail enhancements using Liquid and Powder and UV Gel.
To further enhance your skills you will also study the following units; Develop a range of creative nail images, Plan and create nail art designs, Contribute to the planning and implementation of promotional activities and Enhance and maintain nails using wraps. You will also be required to complete: Level 3 Communication, Level 3 Application of Number and Level 3 Working with Others
5 GCSEs at grade C or above (including Maths and English/Welsh first Language) and Level diploma in Beauty. For progressing Coleg y Cymoedd learners you will require successful completion of Level 2 diploma in Beauty.
There is an interview process for this course.
Assessment will include practical observation, oral questions, written questions and externally set exams. You will need to create a portfolio of evidence.
This is an approved qualification for working as a senior nail technician. It also provides a sound platform for further learning or training. Progression opportunities exist in the form of specialist VTCT vocationally related qualifications at Levels 3 and 4.
